Connect SMS 1.5 release: Containter reminder
We’re focused on delivering exceptional products that impact your business and improve the way you work. Today is no different!
We are excited to announce several improvements across our Connect SMS product. Connect SMS 1.5 updates kicks off with introducing the ‘Container reminder’ message type. A new feature on message configuration will give users greater control over their container turnover by sending reminders to customers who retain containers for extended periods.
We’re also rolling out:
- Service type selection which allows users to be specific about the type of job they’re processing
- We’ve added a column on the ‘Containers currently on customers’ sites’ screen that will timestamp each ‘Container Reminder’ and ‘Order Duration’ message that has been sent, scheduled or undelivered to track this particular container.
Container reminder notification
To ensure you maximise revenue from your containers, we’re adding a Container reminder message template to Connect SMS. This will help you notify customers that your container has been on their site past its due date.
The Container reminder message template presents another streamlined and efficient workflow for getting containers back to your site. The Container reminder notification will give you greater control over your container turnover by sending reminders to customers who retain containers for extended periods. Best of all, you can send these messages at scale, saving you heaps of time.
Container reminder messages can only be sent manually from the ‘Containers Currently on Customers’ Sites’ screen. This type of message will be sent exclusively when a container is owned or hired by your company, excluding sub-broker orders and sub-haulier orders where containers belong to a subcontractor.
To ensure that you’re reaching out to your customers with relevancy, we’ve added a new ‘Number of messages sent’ column within the ‘Containers Currently on Customers’ Sites’ screen that will timestamp each ‘Container Reminder’ and ‘Order Duration’ message that has been sent, scheduled or undelivered to track this particular container. This will help users avoid notification spamming because the timestamps make it clear which customers need to be contacted.
Choose a service type to send SMS
We’re adding the ability to include new service types on your orders. Previously, Connect SMS messages could only be configured to be sent to all job types:
- New Skip Order (NEWSK),
- Empty or Replace (E/R)
- Empty and Finish (FIN)
- Wait While Load (WWL)
- Haulage (HAU)
- Haulage Supply (HSUP)
- Delivery (DELIV),
- Collection (COLLE).
The new service type functionality will apply to the following message types on Connect SMS:
- Driver on way
- On day
- In advance
This new feature within Connect SMS will allow users to get specific about the type of skip or haulage job they’re processing.
